The Schools of DB Chronicles
Aspiring fighters can choose to go a solo route and teach themselves, or join a school. Joining a school allows fighters to learn certain abilities and techniques quicker than they would alone. There are several things one needs to know before becoming a student:
1. You can only join one school at a time.
2. To join another school, you must complete all of the mandatory tasks of your current school and graduate.
3. Certain schools are available to join from the start. Some schools require your stats to be at a certain level, or you to possess a certain skill to join.

- The Turtle School:
The Turtle School (Available to join from the start)

The Turtle School is a martial arts school founded by Master Roshi which presumably continues the teachings of Roshi's former sensei, Master Mutaito. Master Roshi's Training is the martial arts training practiced by members of Master Roshi's Turtle School. The training is a set of odd physical exercises. This entire training schedule is repeated until eventually mastered by the student. Once mastered, the schedule is repeated only this time the students are required to wear 50 lbs Turtle Shells to add resistance to their movements as well as gain their initial training strengths times the amount of weight put on them by the Turtle Shells.
Training
Mission name: Deliver the Milk (Mandatory)
Objective: As part of training, deliver milk around your city, avoiding hazards like dinosaurs and other wild life.
Location: Your City
Reward: Stat Bonus (+3 to Speed the first time, +5 to Speed the second time, while wearing the Turtle Shell.)
Mission Description: Wake up at 4 am and jog to the milk depository. Deliver the milk to various residents around your city. There are 10 bottles in total to deliver. A T-Rex and other animals such as a rhino an a saber tooth tiger will attack you; avoid or deal with them without killing them. This training is designend to increase Speed.

Mission name: Plow the field (Mandatory)
Objective: Help the farmer plow his fields
Location: Outskirts of your city
Reward: Stat Bonus (+3 to Endurance the first time, +5 to Endurance the second time while wearing the Turtle Shell.)
Mission Description: Help a farmer plow his field. You aren't allowed to use tools or machinery; you much use your bare hands. This training is designed to increase Endurance.

Mission name: Time to Study (Mandatory)
Objective: Train your mind by studying
Location: Your home
Reward: Stat Bonus (+3 Knowledge the first time, +5 Knowledge the second time with more advanced lessons.)
Mission Description: Time to go back to grade school. Hit the books and train your mind. This training is designed to increase Knowledge.

Mission name: Construction (Mandatory)
Objective: Work a day in the construction yard
Location: Your City
Reward: Stat Bonus (+3 Strength the first time, +5 Strength the second time while wearing the Turtle Shell.) 1,500 Zeni
Mission Description: Work a day in the local construction yard. It will involve shoveling through rock and dirt, and unloading and wheel barreling rock and debris over the course few hours. You are allowed to use tools provided that they are hand held and not power tools. This training is designed to build Strength.

Mission name: Dodge the Killer Bees (Mandatory)
Objective: Avoid being stung too many times by Killer Bees
Location: Your City
Reward: Stat Bonus (+3 to Perception, +5 to Perception the second time while wearing the Turtle Shell.)
Mission Description: While tied to a tree that has a beehive in it's branches, avoid the stings of the killer bees. This training is designed to build Perception.
Word Count: 1,000 (1st) 2,500 (2nd)
With the training completed 2 times, the student is then free to learn abilities associated with the Turtle School. Learning the abilities are not mandatory and are completely optional. Refer to the Energy & Ability Guidelines for the proper word counts.
Name: Afterimage Technique (残像拳 - Zanzōken)

Description: The Afterimage Technique is an ability to move so swiftly that an image of the user is left behind. The image itself cannot perform physical tasks, as it fades through everything. Most often, it is used to dodge an incoming attack and get behind the opponent to perform a counterattack. Its usage is not limited to just counterattacks, though, as it can also be used to confuse enemies: the image is used to distract the enemy, thinking it is the actual fighter, giving the user a chance to perform the actual attack. Opponents with Perception higher than yours will see through this attack easily.
Name: Solar Flare (太陽拳, Taiyōken; lit. "Fist of the Sun")

Description The Solar Flare is performed by the user placing their hands close to the center of their face with the fingers spread toward their eyes. The user then calls out the name of the technique, which provokes a white light to fire out and blind everything watching except the user, since they are projecting the light. This technique is defensive rather than offensive, and is mainly used as way to gain the upper hand, or in order to make hasty retreat, or to set up for a more complicated attack without fear of interruption. The technique works regardless of the victim's Perception, but is ineffective if the victim closes their eyes beforehand, or is wearing something over them, like sunglasses.

Description: In the original version, the user shouts "Jan Ken", then a name corresponding to the attack: "Gu", equals rock and will be a strong punch. "Chyoki", equals scissors and will be a poke in the eyes. "Pa", equals paper and will be an open palm strike.
Name: Kamehameha (かめはめ波; lit. "Turtle Devastation Wave")

Description: The Kamehameha is a signature attack of the students of the Turtle School, and was invented by Master Roshi by practicing for fifty years. By drawing his latent ki into the palms of his hands, Roshi is able to expel an explosive beam of ki energy.
The Kamehameha is formed when cupped hands are drawn to the user's side and ki is concentrated into a single point (between their cupped hands). The hands are then thrust forward to shoot out a streaming, powerful beam of energy. The blast can also be used, generally under extenuating circumstances, with just one arm or even the feet. In most variants, the user utters the word "Ka-me-ha-me-HA!!!" as he/she charges and releases the attack.
Other variations of the Kamehameha wave can be made at the user's discretion, as well as other abilities of the Turtle School not listed here.
- The Korin School:
Korin (カリン, Karin) is a wise cat over 800 years old who lives atop a giant tower, and he is a martial arts master. Korin is a legendary figure amongst the warrior-world, hailed as "The God of Martial Arts". This frequently leads to surprise and disbelief for those meeting him for the first time, as his appearance has yet to attain the fame of his reputation.
Korin's school becomes available to those who finish the Turtle School.
Mission name: Climb Korin's Tower (Mandatory)
Objective: Climb all the way to the top of the immense Korin's Tower
Location: Sacred Land of Korin
Reward: Stat Bonus (Strength, Speed, Endurance, Perception +5)
Mission Description: Climb to the top of the tower to meet the legendary Korin. Climbing the tower for the first time will take 3 whole days.

Mission name: Get the Sacred Water, Pt.1 (Mandatory)
Objective: Take the Sacred Water from Korin
Location: Korin's Tower
Reward: Stat Bonus (All Stats +5)
Mission Description: So you've managed to climb to the top of the tower and meet Korin, huh? Surprised to see that he was a cat? Well, this isn't your ordinary cat. He reveals that he has Sacred Water that will make you super strong, but you have to take it from him first. Korin reveals sheer speed, and comments that Master Roshi, the first to make the long climb, took 3 years to get the water from him. In the midst of your attempts to steal the water from the cat, he suddenly throws all of your belongings over the side!

Mission name: Down and back up again (Mandatory)
Objective: Climb back down to the ground to get back your belongings, then climb back up to Korin's Tower.
Location: Korin's Tower
Reward: Stat Bonus, (Strength, Speed, Endurance, Perception +5)
Mission Description: Korin threw all of your belongings over the side of the tower, forcing you to climb back down to the ground to retrieve them. While you may be pissed, he did this for a reason. if you don't notice yourself, Korin will explain that your first climb and the effort you put in chasing him around the tower made you significantly stronger. Your first climb took 3 days, while your second took hours. When you make it back to the top, continue trying to get the water.

Mission name: Get the Sacred Water, Pt.2 (Mandatory)
Objective: Take the Sacred Water from Korin
Location: Korin's Tower
Reward: Stat Bonus, (All Stats +5) Senzu Bean
Mission Description: After realizing that all the climbing and running is beginning to pay off, Keep trying to get the water. You will eventually get your hands on it, only to find that it is ordinary rain water. The process of trying to get the water was the whole point, and it has made you strong. Korin will give you a Senzu Bean upon completion, and informs you that you may return to get another one every so often (Every 50 posts.)

After completing Korin's training, the student may learn the flight SC, if they don't already have the ability to fly.
Name: Flight (舞空術)

Description: The user manipulates their ki energy so that they can levitate or fly.
Name: Senzu Bean (仙豆)
Type: Healing item
Description: Senzu Beans are mystical beans with immense rejuvenation properties. When eaten, the consumer's energy and physical health are restored to their fullest; the effects are typically almost instantaneous for the recipient, making these beans a great asset both in and out of battle. One bean can keep a person full for ten days, though some who have eaten the beans have become hungry sooner, due to their naturally larger appetite (namely Saiyans as they generally eat much larger amounts of food).
- The God School:
The Lookout is an ancient platform that is in geostationary orbit in the skies of Earth, and directly above Korin Tower. It is the sanctuary of God. Korin Tower and the lookout were connected by the Power Pole. Events occurring on the Earth can be observed from here and can sense battles in the universe.
The Lookout becomes available to those who complete Korin's training.
Mission name: Fight Mr. Popo (Mandatory)
Objective: Try to Defeat Mr Popo in a sparring match
Location: The lookout
Reward: Stat Bonus, (All Stats +10)
Mission Description: Upon reaching the lookout, you will be greeted by Mr. Popo. In order to meet God, you much go through him first. Mr. Popo is no pushover. All of his stats are twice yours. He will not kill you, but the fight will not be an easy one. Last through the sparring match somehow and you will impress "God," who is actually a Namekian.

Mission name: Trained by God (Mandatory)
Objective: Remain on the lookout and train
Location: The Lookout
Reward: Stat Bonus, (All stats +10) weighted clothing which grants -50% training costs, knowledge of the Dragon Balls.
Mission Description: You managed to last in the spar against Mr. Popo and impress "God," a Namekian. He has agreed to train you, giving you weighted training clothing of your own design, and tells you about the 7 Dragon Balls; when gathered together one may summon the dragon Shenron to grant a single wish.

Name: Kami Weighted Outfit
Description: A special uniform left to the user's design consisting of a weighted shirt, armbands and boots
Usage: This outfit is designed to train it's user. The user's Strength and Speed are lowered +10 while the outfit is worn, but it cuts down on word counts for training by 40% upon removal of the weighted parts of the outfit, the user's strength and speed rise +10.
Price: Free, upon completion of training

Completing the training will also grant access to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, and to learn some of the abilities of a past Namek. Refer to the Energy and & Ability Guidelines page for the appropriate words counts.
Mission name: Hyperbolic Time Chamber (Optional)
Objective: Train in the room of spirit and time
Location: The Lookout
Reward: Stat bonus (All stats +15)
Mission Description: The Hyperbolic Time Chamber (精神と時の部屋, Seishin to Toki no Heya; lit. "The Room of Spirit and Time") is a place located in The Lookout. One year inside the chamber is the equivalent to one day on the outside. A step over the threshold of the training area brings one immediately into ten times Earth's gravity. The air gets denser, and the temperature fluctuates, the deeper one goes into the training area.

Name: Special Beam Cannon (魔貫光殺砲, Makankōsappō; lit. "Demonic Piercing Light Murder Gun")

Description: The move is performed by touching the index and middle fingers of one hand to the forehead and charging enough ki to attack. Its speed changes to the power level of the user performing the move. When ready, the fingers are extended forward, and two thin energy beams are unleashed from the fingers. One remains straight while the other coils around the straight beam. The resulting beam is quite powerful, drilling through most targets, and exploding on the ones it can't. It can also be used with only one arm.

Description: The user puts their hands together in front of them as they charge a yellow energy sphere in their hands. Then, they bring their hands forward and fires the energy sphere, inflicting a massive amount of damage.
Name: Hellzone Grenade

Description: The user charges up and fires several energy spheres randomly in the opponent's direction, disregarding accuracy and with no intent on actually hitting the enemy. With efficient ki control, the multiple energy spheres are suspended in the air, completely surrounding them. Finally, the user commands the energy spheres, which change from a yellow to purple color, (or whatever color the user choses) to rapidly spin around the opponent and inevitably rain down on them with a vicious onslaught from every direction, filling the sky with a blinding light and inflicting a massive amount of damage.
- The Kai School:
If you die a noble death, or come across the means of learning a way to transport yourself into the Other World (Learning a teleportation technique like Instant Transmission, for instance) you have the chance at being trained by King Kai.
Mission name: Run Snake Way (Mandatory)
Objective: Make it to the end of Snake Way
Location: Other World
Reward: Access to King Kai's Planet
Mission Description: Snake Way (蛇の道, Hebi no Michi), or Serpent Road, is a long, narrow, winding path, located in Other World, above Hell, which leads from King Yemma's palace to King Kai's planet, and is the only method of getting to the latter (other than teleporting). The first trip will take 177 days to reach the end. Falling off will land you in Hell.

Mission name: Become a comedian (Mandatory)
Objective: Make King Kai laugh
Location: King Kai's Planet
Reward: King Kai's training
Mission Description: King Kai has a strong sense of humor, so much so that before he can agree to train someone, they have to make him laugh.

Mission name: Catch Bubbles (Mandatory)
Objective: Catch Kin Kai's pet monkey Bubbles
Location: King Kai's Planet
Reward: Stat Bonus (All stats +20)
Mission Description: King Kai has agreed to train you. Your first task is to catch his pet monkey Bubbles. This will not be easy, and may take you weeks. King Kai's planet has gravity 10x stronger than Earth's, something bubbles is accustomed to. Bubbles will speed up when you get close to him.

Name: Kaio-Ken (界王拳; lit. "Fist of the World King" or "World King Fist")

Description: Kaio-Ken is a fighting technique invented by King Kai. It is a technique that multiplies the user's ki for a "heart beat", enabling them to inflict serious damage to opponents who are considerably stronger than them. While in the state, the user's aura color becomes crimson.

x5 - x9 = lasts 5 posts.
x10 - beyond = lasts 3 posts. If used more than once, the second time and beyond takes a serious toll on the user's body, where even the slightest touch will cause severe pain, until the thread it is used in ends.

Cooldown: Can only be used once per thread
Description: Users of the Spirit Bomb gather huge amounts of energy from all chosen surrounding life forms and inanimate objects to conduct that energy into a massive sphere of astounding destructive power. Energy takes the visual form of sparkling, glittering wisps when adding to the mass that are usually blue and/or white in color. The creation of the attack promotes a calm breeze away from the bomb, which turns into a strong continuous gale and expels colorful bands or radiation of Northern Lights-esque aurora. The Spirit Bomb is quite swift when used and, if the user is not careful, it can absolutely obliterate a planet.
