Re: A New City, A New Place [Open]
Matt explained that the city was mostly computer controlled, and then asked her if she had tried looking through the cameras for her friend. He also said it wouldn't hurt to look through the police database, too. Finally, he added that he would help out how he could, but that if the alien showed up he'd have to deal with him because he took priority: Devon couldn't blame him for that. That alien was seriously dangerous, especially to normal humans without any sort of protection or special abilities.
Once more Devon pulled out her phone, biting her lower lip in thought. Before she did anything she would have to get a place set up. Searching through hundreds upon hundreds of cameras for a single face would be far easier done in a computer - or multiple computers - compared to using her phone. Plus, it was going to take time either way, so she'd need a place that was safe and secluded she could work from without being bothered. Besides, this city had already proven to have its fair share of creeps and lowlifes so having a place to duck into at night sounded like a pretty good idea too.
"Don't worry, I totally understand needing to deal with that alien... I saw the footage of those fights. That kid is... I don't even have an adequate word to describe him." While Devon spoke she too looked through cameras, not for her friend Sam, but for a location she could call home. She found precisely what she was looking for in an old subway tunnel. Trains still went through there but the stop itself looked entirely shut down. If she played her cards right she could control the train to stop there and let her off, allowing her to come and go that way easily enough. She could also set up other access points to allow her to enter and exit freely while ensuring the whole place remained locked down tight so no one else could get inside or even find her. She would even hack into the city office later on and make sure that the stop was removed entirely from their records, eliminating any chance of anyone coming snooping around.
With the location picked out Devon sent the order through her phone and to The Trinity. She knew that the andriods, located at various parts of the city, would receive the instructions and get to work on fixing the area up: their separate from each other human-looking appearances easily making it so that they could blend in with a crowd when going to get supplies or anything else they would need. "Hopefully it won't take too long to get my spot hooked up. Using multiple computers with facial recognition software will make it easier to locate Sam in the cameras... If I can't find her then maybe I can at least find who she was around last and see if I can look them up in the various law enforcement databases to see who and where they are."

Re: A New City, A New Place [Open]
"Exactly what i'd do," Matt added. "Listen... I believe i've just found the hole to go and crawl in when things get bad... it's called Willis Tower. Not too far from here. Me and you have the same technology, that's why I was able to find you so quickly..." He looked from his Smart Device to her and back again several times, finalizing several orders placed to the tower. "I'm making a few moves right now; I should have a network up and running soon. I'll be easy enough to find, keep in touch?..."
Matt pointed to his Smart Device before pulling up his scarf, concealing his face. "And while I know you should be well able to take care of yourself, do try to be more careful?" After this was said, Matt ran off, vanishing into the shadows of the buildings and streets.
Willis Tower. Between floor 88 and 89 was an incomplete floor still in the construction phase from several years back, but abandoned. The main laboratory was built and functional, but the rest of the floor was a typical construction site. The Androids there, 10 in number, were still in factory shape and took to their tasks of fortifying the whole floor with no complications.
The walls were double plated with steel and able to withstand several significantly concentrated blasts before being penetrated. Nanoids were deployed into the construction to further fortify the floor, meaning the whole floor was invisible to radar and tracking equipment. Matt had the androids build several different ways on and off the floor, all of them only known to him.
Metal Plating: $10,000 Zeni
One room was devoted to computers. There were dozens of them, all screens linked to different cameras. Matt was downstairs when his deliveries were made, and it didn't take him long to bring them all into operation, creating his own hidden network. Only someone on the intelligence level of him or Devon would be able to even detect it. Matt had several fans and air conditioners going in the room so that the hardware remained cool. There was a bathroom, a bedroom and a living room set-up, all with basic items of furniture that he either swiped from other floors or ordered from the internet. There was also, of course, the laboratory. Matt had to replace nearly all of the equipment in here, easily with orders on the internet.
Computers: $15,000 Zeni
Fans: $100 Zeni
A/C units: $400 Zeni
Bath items: $150 Zeni
Bedroom items: $350 Zeni
Living room items: $330 Zeni
Lab equipment: $75,000 Zeni
Total: $101,330 Zeni
Lastly, Matt hacked into the janitor company hired by the Willis Tower and after a few changes, had himself hired in on the graveyard shift. Eventually he was going to become known in this region as some kind of Hero/Villain, and the janitor job would be another identity to hide behind along with the two he had; a way of winding down.

Re: A New City, A New Place [Open]
Matt said that he had found a place to chill when things got bad called Willis Tower which wasn't far from where they were at that moment. He went on to say that the two of them had the same technology and that was how he had found her so quickly. Matt added that he was getting a network set up right now and to keep in touch, to which Devon nodded. "Don't worry, I won't be taking anymore late night strolls after tonight - not unless I really have to.", Devon commented after watching Matt hide his face behind the scarf he wore.
Devon glanced back down at her phone, hitting several 'buttons' which opened up a view from the display of one of the andriods. They were all busy working and had made a great deal of progress. A ping to her phone followed by several more showed funds being removed from her account by several others who were out shopping and gathering what supplies they needed that she hadn't brought with her.
After Matt ran off Devon headed to one of the nearby subway stations and down the steps. Thankfully, they would run all day and all night long so she never had to worry about there not being a train - not that she intended on using this method of entry very much after she got her other points of access squared away. The train was arriving just as she arrived and she hopped aboard while tracking its progress on her phone. Thankfully, the car she chose was empty so by the time the train reached the appropriate stop there was no awkwardness about her getting off the train. Off the train and through a steel door Devon came face to face with the quick progress that Trinity was making...
